Follow-up to No water, no cows. Worked on it on and off for weeks. It's finally fixed. Replaced the pump and moved it above ground where I can actually get at it when it dies next time.

The old $1k submersible I bought two years ago is now sitting on the bench, looking for a new job. There's $1k riding on whether it still works after years underwater. We'll see soon enough.
