Bonnie, one of the Valais Blacknoses, showed up to breakfast with a cloudy swollen eye and a vaguely betrayed expression about it. I assumed pinkeye, the way you assume any car noise is the brakes. Vet came out, looked at her, ruled out pinkeye and handed me an ointment with instructions to apply three to four times a day for the foreseeable.

The fun part is Bonnie is smart. Right now she still thinks I'm coming over with treats. By Sunday she will have done the math.
